For the last few weeks I have been judging the Birdlife Australia photography awards: https://www.birdlifephotoaward.org.au/judges-2026 .

The competition is a partnership between BirdLife Australia and BirdLife Photography .

It has been awesome seeing some incredible imagery and getting to experience the diversity of birds and environments that Australia has to offer. 

Thanks to Tim Van Leeuwen and the organising committee for having me. I am looking forward to seeing who gets named this year’s winning photographer.
